The first one has to be our introduction. We are PERMIAS (Indonesian Student Association) of Oregon State University. We resurfaced in 2011 after few vacant years and now we come up with a new concept to gain our virtual existence!
BLOG-BASED WEBSITE!
tee-hee. we know you are excited. add us into you bookmark lists.
Yes, this is our blog. We made this with intention to keep you guys informed, practically about anything: internal agendas, current events, food reviews, tutorials, tips or insights and other random things that may appear in our page.
Recruitment
This blog is still under construction since our SocMed Team is still no more than a scratch (read: we are hiring). See those horrible design? We are gonna fix it soon. Once we have our SocMed Team established, this website will be theirs. So, we are currently looking for three blog administrators and two historians who are committed to the team for at least a year.
Administrators: They basically manage this blog and they are the main writers. Yes, we know that writing is not easy, that is why we try to hire three writers. These writers could write in either Bahasa or English, it's their choice. No technical writing! Write in casual fashion but still has to be informative. Personal rants and any offensive writings are not acceptable.
Historians: Historians take pictures, and maybe video. You do not have to be a pro to be our historian. Decent looking pictures, as long it is informative or artistic, can make it. We actually do not care whether you are using your DSLR or even your phone's camera. Pictures have to be related to PERMIAS or Oregon State University. Never upload your family vacation pictures in here. Most important thing: NO PORN AND OFFENSIVE IMAGES.
Administrators and historians will also be the editor of this website. They can outsource their work from our Indonesian fellows, but they have to read and make sure that those works are acceptable to be shown in the website.
We need your contribution in improving our organization. We will start with small steps and hopefully we can expand the team if we get positive feedback from the readers. The first month or two will be your time to get settled with the job and with your co-workers so PERMIAS will not set high expectations to the SocMed crews because we are just starting.
Another one, all SocMed crews will be registered as officers in Oregon State University's Student Organizations Department. You can reward yourself by putting it in your CV! :)
So, if you are interested or you have further questions, send your e-mail saying that you are interested to fill a position in the team to permias.orst@gmail.com before Saturday, November 3rd, 2012.
What are you waiting for bud?
Cheers.
