For you guys that don’t know, the biggest electronic expo in
the US, CES 2013, has just passed last week. The show is basically for all
electronic companies (in exception of Apple, Nokia, and Blackberry) to showcase
their products that they planned to release later this year. And they got some
cool stuff that I want to share with you guys.
SONY’s 56-Inch 4K/Ultra HD OLED
This
year CES is the main venue for TV makers to showcase their 4K HDTV. This TV
boasts a native resolution of 3,840 x 2,160. For comparison, Apple’s 15-inch
macbook pro retina display is only 2,880 x 1,800. Sony hasn’t release its
pricing yet but judging by their competitors price tag it would probably be around
$10K-$20K.
SONY XPERIA Z
This
year CES did not have many Smartphone but it doesn’t mean that there isn’t any worthy
enough to kick the iphone5 out of your pocket. The XPERIA Z has a higher ppi
(pixel per inch) than iphone5, it comes with a quad core processor, and it is
not by any means a bad looker, and it has one other thing that I think no other
Smartphone has. EXPERIA Z is the only phone that is waterproof for up to 3 feet
underwater, so you could finally text while shower.
Panasonic Bone Conduction Headphones
No, the guy in the picture did not wear
the headphone wrong. This headphone delivers the sound through vibration onto
your bone. This is not a new technology
but it is the first one that actually looked kind of nice. The price is $200.
AUDI Connect Car
Audi has developed their self driving technology for some
time now and it looks like they are very darn close with it. Audi Connect car
not only can park itself, it also can pick you up. Using an Audi iPhone app,
you can set when you want your car to come and get you. Tap the pickup button,
it will turn on the ignition and the car will drive itself to pick you up.
So, I guess it's okay to assume that the future's really near right?
